Front and side of house lime mortar repoint and alterations
Built in 1931 the house was designed by Herbert Collins whom was a British architect, born in Edmonton, London. He designed many of the suburban developments in the city of Southampton in the 1920s and 1930s.
The house was originally built with lime mortar but over the years the front had sadly been repointed using a mix match of cements and the wrong style of pointing. Conservation guidelines have now been put in place so this doesn't happen again.
